Seven main islands make up the Canarian archipelago, each one distinctly different, although Gran Canaria is especially outstanding because of the island’s large variety of vegetation and diversity of landscapes: beaches and dunes on a beautiful coast line, dense woods on top of high mountains, imposing palm groves in deep gorges in the south and fertile valleys in the north.
