How to get here
Arriving by car Via Stralsund By car you can reach the island of Rügen from Stralsund via the Rügen dike (Rügendamm). Please note that the Ziegelgraben Bridge is closed to road traffic from 9.20 to 9.40 and from 17.20 to 17.40. From end of October 2007, you will be able to enter the island via the new Rügen Bridge (Rügenbrücke). Drive along the B 96 until Bergen and follow the signs to Prora / Binz (B 196). Coming from Prora, take the first exit on the left (Binz Neubaugebiet) going past the railway lines and you will the Binz spa. You will see the Dünenpark apartments on your left. Then turn right and the second entrance leads directly to the reception of the IFA Rügen Hotel. By the Glewitz ferry Once you have reached the island by ferry, drive along the Deutschen Alleenstrasse towards Garz, Putbus; continue towards Binz. From October to April the ferries leave daily every 20 minutes from 6.00 to 21.40. The crossing takes around 15 minutes. Arriving by train Travel to Binz by train through the whole of Germany without any traffic jams. The IFA Rügen Hotel is around 1,000 metres away from the station. Deutsche Bahn Arriving by plane The nearest international airports are in Hamburg and Berlin. The nearest airport receiving scheduled and charter flights is located in Rostock-Laage and the aerodrome is in Guttin bei Bergen, around 25 kilometres from Binz.
Arriving by ship By sea, you can enter the port of Sassnitz/Mukran from Sweden, Bornholm or Lithuania by the Reedereien Scandlines, Bornholms Traffikken and DFDS Lisco ferry lines.
